Eliav Shaked is the founder and CEO of RetiSpec, a medical device startup developing a non-invasive eye scanner for early detection of Alzheimer’s Disease. The company was founded in 2016 and is based in Toronto and Boston, as it continues to make significant progress as a MassChallenge Boston accelerator finalist. RetiSpec was recently awarded the first prize at the 2016 Tech Shuk Lion’s Den, a Canadian business plan competition. The company is actively seeking to expand its network of relationships with Alzheimer's Disease experts at research/medical institutes.
An experienced biomedical engineer and emerging entrepreneur, Eliav have led several products from ideation to launch in several medical device startups. He holds a B.Sc and a M.Sc in Biomedical Engineering from Tel-Aviv University and is a recent graduate of Singularity University’s flagship Global Solutions Program (NASA/Google). He was recently selected to present RetiSpec at the 2016 Exponential Medicine conference in San Diego, and in the upcoming MassMEDIC MedTech Showcase.
